How Hugo Ballot uses data

Hugo Ballot is a personal fan project provided as-is. Book information and cover art come from the sources credited in the app.

Product analytics

We collect limited, anonymous product events—such as screens viewed, creation mode, ballot year, ranking changes, save attempts, Gallery activity, app version, and whether an action succeeded—to understand feature use and improve reliability.

Analytics use a random browser identifier stored on this device so later sessions in this browser can be counted as the same anonymous user, plus a temporary session identifier discarded when the page reloads. The browser identifier is not derived from personal data or device fingerprinting; clearing site data, using private browsing, or changing browser or device creates a new one.

We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, raw device identifiers, referrers, typed text, source photos, image contents, message recipients, or precise location. Analytics are not sold or used for advertising.

Photos and Gallery
